Applies to
The original chiller and probe connector shown in this Plunge video. An E01 display alone does not establish the same fault on every chiller model.
Who should use this: Support diagnostic selection required; connector check is not automatic DIY authorization from the E01 code alone.
Before starting
Before disconnecting leads or opening the electrical enclosure, switch off and unplug the entire Plunge from its wall supply. Keep plugs and the electrical enclosure dry. Do not work on energized equipment, splice wires or open the controller itself. Use the matching replacement supplied for this repair. If the installed equipment or replacement differs from the guide, stop and ask Plunge Support for the correct procedure.
Video
Read the preparation and completion steps as well as watching the video; the video alone omits some of them.
Steps
- Record the chiller model and error displayed. Unplug the unit before accessing the probe lead.
- Locate the reservoir and trace the temperature-probe lead to its connector, using the video to identify the matching arrangement. Do not identify a lead by color alone.
- If the matching connector is disconnected, inspect it for damage and reconnect its two matching halves. Do not splice wires or bypass the probe.
- Restore the access cover before powering the unit. Check whether the error clears and the temperature reading returns. If it does not, stop repeated reconnection attempts and ask Support for the next diagnosis.
Check the result
Record the result of the connector check. This procedure does not describe a menu reset, prove that the probe is good or authorize a replacement part by itself.
