Remove Chiller Vents and Thumb Nuts- Remove both side chiller vent panels.
- Unscrew all 6 thumb nuts securing the rear panel:
- 3 on the left vent
- 3 on the right vent
| |
Remove Rear Cover | |
Disconnect Electrical Components- Disconnect all electrical components by unscrewing the threads and pulling.
- The LED wire should be moved to the back of the chiller and set aside.
| |
Remove E-Box Mounting Nuts- Cut 2 zip ties securing the power cord to the frame near the electrical box.
- Using an 8mm hex driver, remove the 4 mounting nuts securing the e-box to the tub.
| |
Move E-box Behind TH-1 Manifold- After removing the 4 mounting nuts, gently lower the e-box from its mounted position.
- Pull the TH-1 manifold forward slightly to create room behind it.
- Carefully move the e-box behind the TH-1 manifold.
- Once positioned, allow the e-box to rest securely behind the TH-1 manifold against the tub basin.
🚨Make sure the UI ribbon cable and other wires do not snag or catch on any components.
Disconnect Ribbon Cable from UI- Locate the ribbon cable connected to the back of the UI.
- Push the wing tabs on the ribbon cable connector apart—one up and one down—to release the cable.
- Gently remove the ribbon cable from the back of the UI.
| |
Remove E-Box- Cut zip ties that are securing the electrical box to the frame of the tub if needed.
- Move the electrical box back to the top of the chiller cabinet on the mounting nuts.
- Push the TH-1 manifold back until it is against the basin of the tub.
- Tilt the e-box towards you, slowly and carefully slide the e-box out of the chiller cabinet between the top of the fan and the bottom of the tub.

Disconnect Flow Meter Manifold From Water Filter Housing- Locate the ab union connecting the flow meter manifold to the back of the water filter housing.
- Unscrew the ab union to disconnect the flow meter manifold from the water filter housing
NOTE: If a hand tool is necessary to unscrew ab union you must use soft tip pliers.
Remove Flow Meter From Manifold- Locate the flow meter on the flow meter manifold between the water filter housing and fan.
- Using a phillips head screwdriver remove the two screws securing the cover of the flow meter.
- Using a 3mm hex bolt driver remove the 4 bolts securing the flow meter to the manifold.
- Cut zip ties that are securing the flow meter the the chiller
| |
Extract Failed Flow Meter From E-Box- Using a 2.5mm hex bolt driver remove the cover of the E-box
- Locate the wire coming out of the back of the flow meter bulkhead and cut the wires flush to the bulkhead using wire cutters.
- Disconnect the flow meter from the PCB board by pushing the tab and pulling
- Remove the flow meter wire from the E-box
| |
Install 1.43 Flow Meter to E-Box- Thread the flow meter connector through the ribbon cable slot in the e-box cover.
- Plug the flow meter into the PCB board.
- The flow meter plugs into the connection to the right of the fan.
- Place the e-box cover back on and secure it with the bolts using a 2.5mm hex bolt driver.
| |
Insert Ebox & Maneuver To Behind The Water Thermistor- Slowly and carefully slide the E-box between the top of the fan and the bottom of the tub
- Place E-box on mounting screws
- Slide TH-1 manifold forward up against the condenser fan
- Slowly and carefully slide the E-box behind the TH-1 manifold up against the tub basin.

Connect Ribbon Cable to UIRetrieve the UI ribbon cable from the electrical box. Position the ribbon cable so that the red stripe is facing down. Insert the cable into the connector on the back of the UI. Once the cable is fully inserted, secure it in place by closing the wing tabs around the ribbon cable. Double-check that the connection is snug and properly aligned.
| |
Mount & Secure E-boxCarefully lift and maneuver the e-box back onto the mounting bolts at the top of the chiller cabinet. Align the e-box with the bolt pattern on the frame and gently seat it into position. Hand-thread all four 10mm mounting nuts onto the bolts to hold the e-box in place. Once all nuts are hand-tightened, use a hex driver to securely tighten each one. Confirm the e-box is firmly mounted and does not move or wobble
| |
Install Flow Meter to Manifold- Before installing the flow meter ensure the pin wheel on the back side spins freely without obstruction.
- NOTE: There is a plastic pin that holds the pin wheel in place. Be careful this does not fall out.
- Using a 3mm hex nut driver install the flow meter into the flow meter manifold.
- NOTE: The wire should be facing up to the top of the tub when the flow meter is installed
- Using a Phillips head screw driver install and secure the flow meter cover to the flow meter.
| |
Secure Cords Using Zip Ties- Secure E-box cord to tub frame with zip ties if you cut them earlier
- Secure the flow meter wire to the other cords along the top of the fan.
| |
Connect Flow Meter Manifold to Water Filter Housing- Screw the flow meter manifold ab union to the water filter housing.
NOTE: Do not use tools to tighten union. This will damage the unions. NOTE: If union does not screw on easily it is most likely cross threaded. Back out and try again.
Test for Leaks & CF Error Code⚠️ Warning: The chiller fan is exposed during testing. Keep hands, tools, and loose items away from the fan to avoid injury or equipment damage. - Fill the Plunge up with water so the water line is 6" below the edge of the tub.
- 🚨 Open the auto-doser ball valves🚨
- ⚠️ If chiller is turned on while auto-doser ball valves are closed it can damage the chiller.⚠️
Plug in the Plunge and press the “Reset” button on the GFCI plug to power it on. - Set temperature to 50 degrees so pump powers to 100%.
Allow the Plunge to run and observe the chiller plumbing union connections. Carefully inspect all union fittings for any signs of leaking while the system is running. If a leak is found, pause the system and recheck that the union is properly seated and hand-tightened. - Confirm no "CF" error code on UI
| |
Power Down The Plunge- Pause the chiller by pressing the pause button on the UI
- ⚠️ Powering down the Plunge while it's in a cooling cycle can damage the chiller.
- Press the test button on the GFCI outlet to power down the Plunge.
- Unplug the GFCI outlet from the outlet.
🚨 Important: Do not power down the Plunge before pausing the chiller.
Prepare for Rear Cover InstallationReattach e-box cover (4 screws). Secure chiller to frame using the 4 base nuts. Pre-install the upper thumb nut (near filter housing) loosely—this area is tight with cover on.
| |
Install Rear CoverCarefully slide rear cover over chiller. Ensure power cord is routed through the correct side. Reinstall all 5 thumb nuts to secure rear panel. Attach the left and right chiller vents.
