TH-7 Replacement Instructions
Before starting, disconnect power using the manufacturer's safety procedure. Allow hot components to cool before handling.
Step 1: Locate TH-7
Find the TH-7 sensor on the copper piping between the compressor and condenser. The red arrow identifies its location.
Step 2: Remove the sensor
Carefully pull TH-7 out of its socket. Leave the metal retaining clip inside the socket.
Step 3: Disconnect the old sensor
Follow the TH-7 wire into the electrical box (Ebox). Note the wire routing and connector location, then unplug the sensor connector from the circuit board (PCBA).
Step 4: Connect the replacement
Plug the new TH-7 connector into the same circuit-board connection. Feed the new sensor and wire out of the electrical box, following the original routing shown above.
Step 5: Install the new sensor
Insert the replacement TH-7 into the original socket, keeping the metal retaining clip in place. Check that the sensor is securely seated.
Step 6: Check and finish
- Confirm that the circuit-board connector is secure.
- Check that the wire is not pinched or touching moving parts.
- Reinstall any removed covers.
- Restore power according to the manufacturer's procedure.
