Pause the chiller by pressing the pause button on the UI.
⚠️ Powering down the Plunge while it's in a cooling cycle can damage the chiller.
Once the chiller is in idle mode press the test button on the GFCI outlet to power down the Plunge.
Unplug the GFCI outlet from the outlet.
🚨 Important: Do not power down the Plunge before pausing the chiller. Powering down the Plunge while it is in a cooling cycle can damage the chiller.
Remove Chiller Vents and Thumb Nuts
Remove both side chiller vent panels.
Unscrew all 6 thumb nuts securing the rear panel:
3 on the left vent
3 on the right vent
Remove Rear Cover
Grab the rear cover by the vent openings and slowly pull and wiggle the rear cover free.
Locate and Remove Electrical Box Cover
Use A Torx20 Driver to Remove the screws to the cover, remove cover.
Remove PCBA Mounting Screws
Use a Torx20 Driver to remove mounting screws
Transfer over
Use a Torx20 Driver to remove mounting screws Before you begin. * Take several clear photos from different angles before unplugging anything. * Only move one connector at a time. * Never force a connector. Most are keyed and will only fit one way.
Transfer process
1. Start with the top-left connector on the old board. 2. Unplug that single connector by pulling on the plastic housing (not the wires). 3. Find the matching labeled connector on the new board. * The new board has labels printed next to almost every connector (PUMP, FAN, HEATER, OZONE, FLOW METER, etc.). 4. Plug that connector into the matching location on the new board. 5. Repeat for the next connector directly below it. 6. Continue working from top to bottom until every connector has been transferred. 7. Leave the UI(User Interface) harness until near the end since it’s one of the easiest to identify. 8. Once everything has been moved, compare the old board to the new board one last time to make sure no connectors were missed.
9. Mount the new PCBA to the electrical box using the original Torx screws removed from the old board. Ensure the board is properly aligned with the mounting holes, then tighten each screw until snug. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the PCBA or mounting points.
