To remove the filter, you will need to remove the retaining nut (Use a Mallet
and something flat (Protect filter nut with towel or padding)and tap against the notches in a counterclockwise direction) Save for the new filter housing. Then remove the ozone mounting plate. (New Filter Housing) Remove the new filter nut from the filter housing replacement part, replace the ozone bracket over the thread, Place original filter nut over the collar of the new housing.
Correct order-
1. Filter housing
2. Ozone mounting plate
3. Original filter nut
If the mounting holes on the bottom of the filter aren't exposed, a layer of foam will need to be removed.
The filter is connected to the frame with a mounting plate. Remove the four bolts, then remove the four bolts holding the mounting plate to the bottom of the filter housing.
Included is a picture of what the manifold kit should look like after replacement. There will be three pieces of plumbing to replace:
1. From the pump to the filter.
2. Ozone manifold, from the heat exchanger to the return line on the side of the chiller.
3. Th1/Flow meter manifold, Bottom of the filter to the heat exchanger.
There will be two wire connections for the electrical board. The one labeled TH1 on the new manifold will replace the one on the current manifold attached to the water pump. The other one will plug into the flow meter on the board.
